A sales engineer. We’re not programmers, we’re not tech support people, we’re not sales reps. Though in many cases, we end up doing all 3 functions. But that will be covered in a later post.
I’ve been an SE for almost 20 years and it’s rare that I meet folks that understand what I do. I’m sure other SE’s reading this can relate. Many times we are overlooked whether it’s outside folks that have no idea what an SE is or inside our own organizations where salespeople get all the glory when things go right. This leads to the purposes of my blog:
· To bring up the adventures that I go through as an SE.
· To provide a funny spin on the daily trials and tribulations of the SE.
